Woman with metastatic breast cancer continues to live life to the fullest
Lara MacGregor is outrunning cancer with the help of some of her biggest supporters.
Her fight against metastatic breast cancer, like running, is like a marathon.
"People might be a little confused when they see me and think, I thought she had cancer," she said. "Why is she out running? Or, she looks healthy. And the reality of metastatic breast cancer is that it’s a marathon, not a sprint."
She was first diagnosed more than a decade ago. Since then, she's founded the nonprofit Hope Scarves, which provides scarves — and hope — to people with cancer.
